Brand new collaborative robot from ABB

Following the great success of 2015, when the dual-arm robot YuMi® has been introduced, ABB launches the newest member of Robotic family: single-arm YuMi®. 

This robotic arm is very lightweight (less than 10 kg) ,supports the installation in any direction (wall, ceiling, tables...) and thanks to the 7-axes is capable to imitate effortlessly human's arm moviments. Furthermore, users could teach robot motion and positions easily, simply moving the gripper and joints. 

Automation robotics is always more oriented to collaborate with humans to achieve great goals together.

A sharp step forward in microprocessor technology. Researchers think that this brand-new graphene technology could achieve goals unreachable with the traditional Silicium-based components.

Theoretically, it works. But costs and reliability are still to prove.
